Robert Redford's Sundance Preserve
is the culmination of his 40-year quest to make Sundance, Utah a self-sustaining retreat for artists, scientists and thoughtful citizens to share
ideas and to inspire and implement meaningful change.

The magic: The inspiration of nature and the nature of inspiration

The vision: Sundance Preserve as a cultural and environmental nucleus and agent of change in a pristine wilderness setting.

The experience: 1919 created an identity program, collateral and website that express the true spirit and stunning natural landscape of Sundance Preserve that has inspired so many and launched so many meaningful and successful ventures. Wollner and Klueger created a book of original panoramic photography of Sundance called A Place Set Apart. It is bound in classic picture-book style, oversized and printed on heavy paper stock. The narrative is focused on Redford's passionate commitment to the combination of preservation, conservation, art and inspiration. The imagery and narrative was transported seamlessly to the website and other print collateral. The result is an experience that is nothing short of revelatory even for those who think they know Sundance.
